Program Manager

Program Manager Work Activities is a program which enables the consumer to further develop their work skills, job seeking skills, improve production rate, and improve their work-related behavior and attitude towards work. A consumer in Work Activities must reach 40% production rate and display appropriate work behavior to transfer to the Regular Work Program.

Regular Work

The Regular Work program provides employment for disabled individuals with a variety of impairments. The Regular Work program is the major production and business division of the agency, operating similar to a small business. This program allows the agency to seek sub-contract work from area industries such as assembly, packaging, inspecting and sorting, re-work, and a variety of other light manufacturing tasks. It also is structured to offer local industries flexible scheduling and short turnaround time for sub-contracted production. Regular Work program can, in many cases, offer a financially attractive alternative to in-house production on many one-time and short-term sub-contracts.

Consumers in Regular Work must meet a 40% production level for (3) three consecutive months to be in this program. Consumers in regular work must: produce acceptable work quality that meets production standards with minimal supervision; have excellent work attendance; remember task instructions; accept job assignments without displaying a disruptive behavior; exhibit proper safety practices; work continously throughout distractions; communicate in a timely manner with supervisors regarding work-related matters; and demonstrate acceptable grooming and hygiene practices.
